GENEVA, Switzerland – March 19, 2018 – Temenos (SIX: TEMN), the banking software company, announces that the audience of the third annual Miami Innovation Jam has voted Uniken as the winner. Quantaverse came in as the runner-up.

Uniken makes connecting safe by combining security and transaction verification with a zero friction user experience. By tightly integrating identity based on biometrics, cryptographic split keys and device intelligence with secure channel and endpoint threat detection, Uniken has created a unified defense-in-depth security platform that is designed to secure digital channels, and meets global regulatory compliance needs. Its mobile first omni-channel solution has handled over $500B in transaction, increased engagement for its clients customers from 100 to 300% by enabling an anytime, anywhere engagement model, leading to a greater share of wallet.

The Miami Innovation Jam, hosted in partnership with Cognizant, Celent and Information Technology Solutions & Services (ITSS), brought together 10 fintech companies from across North, Central and South America. Each of the startups had 7 mins in which to present a live presentation of their solution to a crowd of 170 attendees from banks, fintech startups and tech providers from across the Americas. Uniken will now travel to the Innovation Jam Final, joining Pushfor and Xtremepush from the Dublin Innovation Jam, along with winners from each of the other regional heats in Hong Kong, Abu Dhabi, London, Geneva, Amsterdam, Luxembourg. The Innovation Jam Final will be held at the Temenos Community Forum (TCF) on 22-24 May, where each of the fintechs will compete in front 1,200 delegates from around the world.

Bimal Gandhi, CEO, Uniken, commented

“We are delighted to win the Miami Innovation Jam. Our solution is what I call ‘Customer First Security’. The REL-ID mobile-first security platform was designed for today’s world and today’s consumer. No more passwords, no more worry about stolen credentials, the need to divulge PII or answer bizarre questions about my favorite foods or songs when someone calls in, and most importantly customers can interact with their bank the way they want – email, chat, voicemail. We’re thrilled to be able to be awarded the chance to share our solution at the global competition in Dublin.”

Ben Robinson, Chief Strategy Officer at Temenos, commented:

“The Miami Innovation Jam is the second of eight competitions to be held across the globe to find the most exciting fintech startups. This is the third year that we have run the global Innovation Jam series, and the third time we’ve held the regional event in Miami. We continue to see incredible and innovative solutions being brought to the table every year, and I would like to thank all 10 of the contestants for participating, and I look forward to seeing the winners at TCF.”
