Temenos DataSource reduces the costs and risks connected with the management of a constantly growing volume of market and reference data that is able to adapt quickly to ever-changing regulations. DataSource is part of Temenos’ Wealth Management product but can also be deployed as a standalone solution. To present a uniform view of all areas of financial instruments, we generate the Golden Copy based on a set of rules, to ensure that all downstream applications have a uniform, verified, high-quality view of the financial instruments.
Built-in Data Adapters
Provides multiple built-in data adapters for import and export. It includes standard adapters to global data vendors such as Bloomberg, SIX Financial, LSEG (formerly Refinitiv), and Morningstar, but also to regional or specialized vendors such as Wertpapier Mitteilungen, Moodys or GLEIF, etc.
Temenos DataSource is designed with a scalable architecture based on microservices for fast processing of big data. By using container technology, operation in the Temenos Cloud as SaaS is natively possible. Deployment can also be done on-premise or in a private cloud. Any application can communicate efficiently with DataSource via modern REST APIs.
The core of the application is based on a flexible meta-data model and a powerful rules engine. DataSource is delivered with an extensive standard model with more than 30 entities, 2000 data points, and 10,000 business and validation rules, which allows flexible customization of the application to meet customer needs.
Datasource ensures traceability of all data flows, along with auditing and monitoring, so that it ensures consistent governance of data – both to comply with contractual obligations with data vendors, but also to ensure a transparent view of data usage.
The embedded and easy-to-use Rules Engine provides a powerful way to efficiently quality assure even very high volumes.
A central element of the application design is the consistent focus on simple adaptation to the business requirements. This enables the business to configure the data model, the rules engine, and the user interface independently and quickly.
