Temenos Receives ISO 14001:2015 Certification for Its Environmental Management System

GENEVA, Switzerland – January 31, 2019 – Temenos (SIX: TEMN), the banking software company, today announced that it has been certified ISO 14001.

Temenos has successfully implemented an Environmental Management System (EMS) in the company’s three offices in India (Chennai and Bangalore), which account for 52% of the total global employee workforce and are the hub of its product development activities. In addition, Temenos received ISO 14001: 2015 certification of its EMS, independently verified by Bureau Veritas.

As part of Temenos global CSR strategy, the company is in the process of implementing the EMS, to additional offices starting with major locations in Europe. This will increase the certification coverage of business operations globally.

ISO 14001 is an internationally-recognized framework for organizations to strategically manage and continuously improve their environmental performance. The framework prescribes a systematic approach to setting targets and objectives and conducting regular management reviews of the results. This accreditation was granted to Temenos for demonstrating commitment to environmental stewardship.
