ISO 45001:2018 is an internationally recognized framework that enables organizations to systematically manage and continually improve their occupational health and safety (OHS) performance. This framework, on which Temenos has been externally certified, establishes a structured approach to protecting the health, safety and well-being of employees, contractors and other stakeholders. The ISO 45001 management system prescribes a systematic approach including:

  • Leadership accountability for occupational health and safety through regular management reviews
  • Applicability of the OHS management system across all operations, employees, contractors and individuals under the company’s supervision
  • Identification and assessment of occupational health and safety hazards and risks across operations
  • Compliance with applicable OHS legislation, regulations, international standards, voluntary programs and collective agreements
  • Consultation with and participation of workers, and, where applicable, workers’ representatives
  • Definition of objectives, targets and action plans to continually improve OHS performance
  • Implementation of OHS programs with clearly assigned roles and responsibilities
  • Training, awareness and competency development for employees and relevant stakeholders
  • Internal and external communication on health and safety matters
  • Monitoring, measurement and maintenance of OHS performance records
  • Internal and external audits, including independent external certification and verification of health, safety and well-being aligned with ISO 45001
  • Incident investigation, corrective actions and continual improvement of the OHS management system and performance
