Temenos Proposes Nomination of New Board Member

GENEVA, Switzerland, February 17 2021 – Temenos (SIX: TEMN), the banking software company, today announced it will seek the election of James (Jim) Benson to its Board of Directors at the time of its AGM in May 2021, as a Non-Executive and Independent Director.

Based in Massachusetts, Jim Benson has over 30 years’ experience in building, scaling and leading finance teams in global technology companies with significant operating scale and complexity. Most recently, he spent over a decade as Executive Vice President and CFO of Akamai Technologies, the Nasdaq-listed $2.7bn cloud services and cybersecurity leader. During his tenure, revenues tripled, stock price appreciated by 360% and market cap rose over $12 b. Prior to joining Akamai, Jim spent 20 years at Hewlett Packard in a variety of senior finance leadership roles. This included Vice President, Finance/Operations and CFO for HP’s Americas Technology Solutions Group, a $14bn P&L entity encompassing the enterprise server, storage, software and services businesses. Before this, he spent four years at the Compaq Computer Corporation and 10 years at Digital Equipment Corporation. Both these companies have since merged with Hewlett Packard. Jim served on the Board of Directors for the Akamai Foundation (stepping down upon retirement).
