Overview

The coverage of risks assessed in this module are:

Country Risk

nationality, residence, incorporation country rated against FATF classifications (blacklist/greylist/high risk)

Industry Risk

NAICS industry code rated by inherent ML risk (cash-intensive, real estate, money exchange, etc.)

Channel Risk

how the customer transacts (cash, crypto, wire, etc.)

AML Flags

is_sanctioned, is_pep, adverse_media_flag, missing UBO declaration

Transaction Monitoring

7 behavioural rules on transaction patterns

Sanctions/PEP/Adverse Media Screening

name matching against watchlists

KYC / Document Risk

are documents expired, unverified, or missing? Is the customer overdue for review? Customers with expired KYC or missing ID sightings should score higher.

Behavioural Profile Deviation

is the customer transacting outside their stated purpose? (e.g. a retail customer suddenly receiving large commercial wires). Currently TM catches spikes but doesn’t compare against the customer’s declared relationship purpose.

UBO / Ownership Structure Risk

complex ownership chains, offshore jurisdictions in the UBO structure, missing UBO declarations. Currently has_ubo_declaration is a flag but not scored deeply.

Geographic Transaction Risk

separate from country risk on the profile, this looks at where money is actually flowing to/from in transactions (counterparty countries). Currently tm_high_risk_geography catches obvious cases but doesn’t feed back into the customer’s risk score.

Counterparty Risk

who is the customer transacting with? Frequent transactions with unknown or unregulated counterparties should elevate risk.

Relationship Tenure Risk

new customers carry higher risk than long-established ones. A customer onboarded last week with no history should score higher than one with 5 years of clean transactions.

Source of Funds / Wealth

is the declared source of wealth consistent with observed transaction patterns? Currently stored as free text but not scored.

Users can filter the page by bank and forecast horizon. The global search filters facilities by bank, account, or facility type.
