The Caribbean Association of Banks (CAB) 45th Annual Conference theme will be: “Banking in the Era of Digitization”. Our LATAM & Caribbean Regional Director, Enrique O’Reilly, will give a presentation about digital transformation for financial services on Friday November 2nd at 11:15 am. The cocktail took place the first day of the Congress, this past September 19; where all the guests enjoyed a pleasant evening with the beautiful panoramic view of Cartagena at the Terrace-Restaurant of the hotel with the music of Son Cubano Manhatan and the entertainment of the traditional palenqueras of Cartagena.

The TRF roadshow covered three locations – Bangkok, Sydney and Kunming. An all-day event where international and local market trends, insights and best practices were shared, as well as showcasing latest innovations.

TRF gathered customers, partners, industry leaders in the banking and financial services community, as well as press and industry analysts.

The event´s main objective is to expose new trends in financial technology and to gather important leaders in the finance and technology industry of Latin America & Caribbean. TEMENOS participated as panelist along with ITSS, Banco Ficohsa and Fintech Americas as moderator with the following theme: Integration – Increasing the speed and efficiency of transformation while minimizing time and cost.

Besides the conferences and panels, Fintech Americas bestowed the award of: TOP 25 Most Innovative Bankers in Latin America & Caribbean to the best renowned leaders of the region.

The event took place at the ATL Automotive (AUDI), where we had a great time networking and connecting with all the guests. Temenos held a raffle and we also enjoyed and participated in some traditional Jamaican dancing.

This year´s conference was entitled “Financial Inclusion in Competitive Markets and Challenging Environments.”, which took place from August 22-24, where many expert speakers and panelists held presentations related to the Microfinance Sector. There was also a Technology workshop about technological innovations in the market for financial inclusion. 

Highlights from TRF Sydney included an insightful panel hosted by George Lekakis, Associate Director of Banking Day, alongside four challengers in the Australian banking market: volt bank, Goldfields Money, ME Bank and Judo Capital.
