In an effort to recognize and celebrate our talented colleagues, we’d like to share some inspirational stories from their time at Temenos, from previous employment and from their personal lives too.

1. When did you join Temenos? Tell us about your role.

I joined Temenos 2 years ago through the first Sales Academy (2016). I was an Account Manager in Luxembourg until recently when I moved to MarketPlace as Sales Manager. My role is to promote our MarketPlace and refer the fintechs to clients and prospects and to sell the Temenos Innovation Platform.

2. What do you think makes Temenos unique as an employer?

Temenos is unique mostly because it is a people-powered company. Despite the fact that we are a sales oriented organization, thus focus on performance and success, Temenos remains highly “human”. I truly believe that Temenos people are amazing – and it’s true for all departments, from Sales & Presales, to Product, Finance, Support, Legal, HR and management.

In addition, the company has a “flat” organizational structure, thus everyone is always accessible, irrespective of their position. Moreover, the fact that Temenos is so flexible means you can be yourself and get creative with your work – you have the freedom to innovate and to design your own career growth path.

It’s quite encouraging to know that those higher up in the hierarchy empower you to grow and, even though they may seem demanding, they give you a boost to bring out your full potential, whilst staying approachable and supportive.

From my experience so far in Temenos, if you want to make your way up to being successful, you have the support system to reach your goals and grow in the company.

3. What made you join the company?

The Sales Academy, which is in my opinion a once in a lifetime opportunity. To move to Luxembourg from Canada & join Temenos was the best decision I made for my career.

4. What do you enjoy the most at Temenos?

People, people and people! As I’ve already mentioned, people make you love your work environment and play a big role in employees’ happiness. Temenos (not just the Luxembourg office) truly is a great place to work.

Secondly, the banking software industry is fascinating; I feel like I learn something new every day! The mix of finance and IT is complex and our industry is changing at a fast pace – which makes it even more exciting.

5. If you were to describe working at Temenos in a single phrase, what would that be?

Challenging but fulfilling.

6. If you think about the future, what do you look forward to in your journey at Temenos?

I am looking to stay in Sales, get more experience, work hard and close high value deals. The market is changing and Temenos is growing, we are in a position where we can shape the future of the industry and ensure our success – to me that’s truly exciting and gives me the boost to advance my career!

7. What does the “People Power” Value mean to you and how do you relate to it?

Temenos is the people & Temenos’ success is everyone’s. Every achievement I’ve had since joining was the result of team work. I believe that you accomplish a lot more when you work closely with people and Temenos encourages their people to be one. I would finish my story with the following: “Great people attract great people”
