GENEVA, Switzerland, 21 July 2021 – Temenos AG (SIX: TEMN), the banking software company, today announced it has strengthened its Executive Committee to accelerate business growth and ensure Temenos is best positioned to capture the market opportunity in cloud banking and SaaS.
Martin Häring joins as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) as part of Temenos’ strategy to attract top leaders in the market with experience in high-growth, cloud technology organizations. Martin will be in charge of the company’s brand evolution, the go-to-market strategy, and forging new partnerships through co-marketing and co-innovation. Martin comes with 25 years in B2B marketing and branding and has extensive experience leading global marketing organizations for large technology enterprises, including financial software and cloud services. Martin joins Temenos from Red Hat, where he was VP Marketing for EMEA. Before this, Martin was CMO at Misys and subsequently Finastra. Previously he was International CMO for Akamai Technologies, a large international cloud services provider, and EMEA CMO for Sun Microsystems.
Jean-Paul Mergeai is appointed to President International Sales with expanded responsibilities covering EMEA and Asia-Pacific. A seasoned leader, Jean-Paul has built an excellent track record in the Middle East and Africa and has accelerated growth in the Asia-Pacific region. He joined Temenos in 2010 and has held a number of senior leadership roles across sales and business operations functions in several regions. Jaqueline White continues as President of Americas with responsibility for sales across North and South America.
Phil Barnett, President of Strategic Growth, will now take on the additional responsibility for driving the growth of Temenos’ top Global Strategic Accounts, while retaining global technology partner relationships to generate new revenue streams and market opportunities. Phil will lead a dedicated sales team covering Temenos’ top global strategic accounts amongst Tier 1 and Tier 2 banks. Phil has over 30 years of experience in growing technology sales organizations and has been integral in Temenos’ expansion. His new responsibilities reflect urgent demand for digital transformation from larger and complex financial institutions.
These changes to the Executive Committee are effective immediately, with all members reporting to Temenos CEO Max Chuard.
In addition, Jayde Tipper is promoted to Chief People Officer, responsible for the people agenda at Temenos, including talent acquisition and development, performance management, and diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Jayde has been with Temenos since 2015, and she was formerly Head of Talent Acquisition globally.
Kalliopi Chioti is promoted to the new role of Chief Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Officer with a mandate to accelerate the company’s sustainability leadership, which has been recognized in recent years by top Indices such as the Dow Jones Sustainability Index. She will drive the diversity, governance, environmental and social aspects of the increasingly important ESG agenda, with an emphasis on promoting sustainable banking and financial wellbeing across Temenos’ client base.
