Max Chuard, Chief Executive Officer, Sibos 2019 Speaker

Max Chuard

Before being named CEO in 2019, Mr. Chuard held various leadership positions at Temenos since joining the Company in 2002. He was Chief Financial Officer of Temenos since 2012, where he had overall responsibility for finance, planning, treasury, information technology, investor relations, compensation and benefits and internal controls.

In 2015, Mr. Chuard was appointed Chief Operating Officer in addition to his Chief Financial Officer role, and was responsible for go-to-market operations including client management, delivery and driving Temenos’ expansion in the US. Mr. Chuard also led the Company’s mergers and acquisitions strategy, and has conducted more than 10 successful transactions including Akcelerant, Multifonds and Avoka. Mr. Chuard was also instrumental in revolutionizing Temenos’ banking software platform with the launch of two new cloud-native, cloud-agnostic products – Temenos Infinity and Temenos Transact to accelerate cloud adoption.

Prior to joining Temenos, Mr. Chuard started his career as a business analyst at JP Morgan and subsequently held a senior position at SWICORP, a Swiss merchant bank.

Mr. Chuard holds a Master’s of Science in Finance from the University of Lausanne (HEC Lausanne), Switzerland.

Jean-Michel Hilsenkopf, Chief Operating Officer, Sibos 2019 Speaker

Jean-Michel Hilsenkopf

Mr. Jean-Michel Hilsenkopf was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Temenos in February 2019. Mr. Hilsenkopf is one of the original members of the Company, having joined in 1993. His deep understanding of the Company, its culture, and passion for delivery gives him the vision to drive the Company’s regional strategy forward.

Prior to taking up his current role, Mr. Hilsenkopf was the Chief Revenue Officer. He previously held the position of managing director for Temenos in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Latin American regions, as well as Temenos Cloud, regional general manager for Europe and also successfully integrated several acquired companies, such as Odyssey and Viveo. Before joining Temenos, Mr. Hilsenkopf worked as a consultant in the banking sector.

Mr. Hilsenkopf holds an MBA in international marketing from the University of Geneva, Switzerland as well as a Master degree in Computer Engineering from the Polytech of Clermont-Ferrand, France.

Adam Gable

Adam is responsible for the product planning and execution of Temenos’ Financial Crime, Treasury and Risk solutions. With a background in development and risk, Adam has worked for a number of international banks and has a track record of building and taking to market both Universal and specialist banking systems. Adam has 25+ years experience in the banking and banking software industry.

Ali Mentesh, Business Development Manager, Temenos, Sibos 2019 Speaker

Ali Mentesh

Ali Mentesh is responsible for Business Development of Temenos’ unique payment product offering. Since joining Temenos in 2018, Ali has been responsible for promoting the Temenos Payments Hub proposition and has been spearheading Temenos’ engagement with the payments sector including new entrants, challengers, traditional banks, aggregators and infrastructure providers to drive awareness of the growing success of Temenos in payments. Ali has over 20 years of experience in the payments sector including regional roles across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Ali is deeply involved in industry initiatives around new methods of payment, regulatory compliance and Fintech engagements.

Bola Rotibi

Bola has over 25 years of expertise spanning engineering, software development and IT analysis. She is the founder of Creative Intellect Consulting, and has worked at MWD Advisors and Ovum. Bola is a Chartered Engineer and has industry experience of application development and network computing in several sectors. She has worked as a senior software developer for Reuters and a chemical and process control engineer for Air Products. As an analyst, Bola has built a wide portfolio of product evaluations, strategy reports and competitive analysis reports. She is regularly sought to provide input into and drive supplier and product selection processes.

Chris Harrold, Director, Technical Evangelism, Temenos, Sibos 2019 Speaker

Chris Harrold

Chris Harrold has had a long career in the technology industry, building scalable systems and running operations and development teams around the world. As a veteran of large development and innovation teams, and director of developer programs for such organizations as IBM, EMC, and Avoka he brings an extensive background in digital transformation, scalable enterprise, API ecosystems, cloud, and IT and related technologies that run from the developer’s desk all the way to the C suite. His ability to translate deeply technical knowledge into business impacts and determination to drive customer success have made him a sought after speaker and panelist for a variety of events and conferences globally.

Daniela Mrowietz, Global Competence Lead

Daniela leads the Payments team of the Temenos Business Solution Group. She ensures that Temenos’ solutions fit our client’s requirements for the payments and payment-related regulations (such as PSD2, Open Banking). Daniela is a Payment expert with over 25 years’ experience in the banking software industry, banking and payments.

Darryl Proctor Managing Director Infinity

Darryl Proctor

Darryl is responsible for Temenos Infinity, the customer experience platform for digital banking. Darryl and his teams, define the vision, product strategy, and go to market for Temenos’ channels and front office across retail, small business, corporate, Onboarding and origination in Banking.

Darryl has more than 25 years of banking and banking software experience.

Des Noctor

Des has been with Temenos since 2007 and is responsible for managing and growing the business in the UK & Ireland markets. Des has worked in financial services software for more than 25 years, previously with Kindle Banking Systems (later Misys/Finastra). In his early career Des has led core banking project implementations in the UK, Canada, India & Africa.

Professor Hani Hagras

Hani is the Chief Science Officer at Temenos and is also a Professor of Explainable Artificial Intelligence, Director of Research and Director of the Computational Intelligence Centre at the University of Essex, UK. His major research interests are in the real-world applications of Explainable Artificial Intelligence, data science, data predictive analytics and machine learning. He is the author of over 350 papers in international journals, conferences and books. Hani’s research has won numerous prestigious international awards from academia and industry. He is a Fellow IEEE, Fellow IET and Principal Fellow HEA.

Jean- Paul Mergeai, Managing Director, MEA, Sibos 2019 Speaker

Jean-Paul Mergeai

Mr. Jean-Paul Mergeai has been the Managing Director in charge of the Middle-East and Africa since 2014.
Mr. Mergeai graduated from the University of Liège magna cum laude with a master’s degree in Linguistics and Information Technology in 1984. He started his career as an academic focusing his research on machine translation and artificial intelligence as applied to natural languages.
Mr. Mergeai moved to the financial industry where he joined Reuters in Luxembourg in 1989. He has over 28 years’ of experience in implementing, designing, supporting or selling IT solutions for banks and financial institutions.
Mr. Mergeai joined Odyssey Financial Technologies in 2007 to manage the firm’s global accounts program. He later moved to New York to manage Odyssey’s North American operations.
After Temenos’ acquisition of Odyssey in 2010, Mr. Mergeai managed Temenos’ Private Wealth global operations and led North American sales operations until the end of 2013.

Kam Chana

Kam supports Temenos clients in navigating the digital landscape and formulating customer-centric and data-driven strategies around customer engagement. Kam comes with a rich and extensive background in digital transformations achieved while working in the original 1990s tech boom for internet pioneers like Charles Schwab Stockbrokers. Kam has led on Digital Transformation programs for Fidelity, RBS, BlackRock and Barclays as well as supporting tech startups with disruptive innovation and business growth. Kam is passionate about helping banks stay relevant, to innovate using data and digital technologies and to ultimately make banking human again.

Kanika Hope

Kanika Hope is Global Strategic Business Development Director, Temenos focused on developing strategic sales opportunities with leading banks. Kanika has 25 years of experience in banking technology and operations. Prior to Temenos, she worked as Business Development Director at SAP for 10 years, where she engaged with European retail and corporate banks on core transformation, digital banking and more. Before that, she was a consultant at McKinsey & Company in their Business Technology Office, London focused on Banking, and at General Electric in a variety of global Information Technology.

Mark Gunning, Global Business Solutions Director, Temenos

Mark Gunning

Mark is the Director of the Temenos Business Solutions Group, the product experts responsible for ensuring that Temenos’ solutions match our clients’ requirements. He joined the company in 1994 and has developed Temenos software as well as overseen the launch of our operations in North America. Before joining Temenos, he worked for HSBC developing and implementing their international banking systems and for Misys developing the Equation banking software package.

Michael Menzel Cloud Customer Engineer, Big Data & ML Google

Michael Menzel

Michael is a customer engineer at Google Cloud who works with customers in sprints of few weeks to accomplish innovative projects in big data and machine learning. Before becoming a Googler, Michael worked in a similar role at Amazon Web Services and SAP. After his studies in computer science, Michael spent several years in academia at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and obtained a PhD degree from TU Berlin.

Shrey Rastogi

Shrey is responsible for GTM activities, product positioning, commercial strategy and business development for our payment range. Over the last 17 years, Shrey has worked across four continents on both sides of the table – as a banker in global Tier 1 banks – and a consultant and product specialist.

Steve Scott, Senior Product Manager, Temenos

Steve Scott

Steve is responsible for our business banking and corporate cash management product vision and strategy. Following 22 years in international trade & banking services, Steve moved to financial services software in 2001, working at Fundtech and Gresham He is Temenos’ EBA Liquidity Management Working Group representative.

Sujatha Venkatraman

Sujatha is responsible for product strategy, the direction and management of Temenos Payments solutions and runs Payments transformation programs and consultation/collaboration on strategic initiatives. She has over 25 years’ experience in banking and the banking software industry. Her diverse background in Banking and Information technology has enabled her to gain deep insight into the challenges faced by banks, to drive product strategy and innovation.

Vadim Sobolevski

Prior to co-founding FutureFlow in 2016, Vadim had spent 9 years after business school analyzing macroeconomic trends and financial systems around the world, most recently as Portfolio Manager at the hedge fund Finisterre Capital in London. Prior to business school, Vadim had spent 8 years as a software engineer, most recently at the Fixed Income desk of Barclays Capital in New York City. Vadim is a graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Business School.

Wayne Sooklal, VP, Canada, Sibos 2019 Speaker

Wayne Sooklal

Wayne has been with Temenos since 2016 and is accountable for growth in the Canadian market. He has over 25 years in Canadian financial services with recent leadership roles at Accenture, Infosys and AT&T Canada before coming to Temenos. Wayne holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University.
