Fintech Open Theatres – At Temenos Stand (K26)

Growing competition and new financial regulations, particularly PSD2 where banks must share transaction data, is forcing banks and Fintechs to fight for customer loyalty.

Peter HazouPeter Hazou
Director, Business Development, Financial Services Industry Group, Microsoft

Peter has been at Microsoft since 2015, heading up their payments business. Prior to joining Microsoft Peter was a payments industry banker who spent much of his career outside the US market in the EMEA region. Prior to working at Microsoft, Peter was Managing Director at BNY Mellon responsible for Treasury Services European market management for three years. Before joining BNY Mellon, he was also Head of Strategy at UniCredit Group, Global Transaction Banking for four years, Regional Head for Europe at HSBC, Global Transaction Banking for seven years and Regional Head for CEEMEA, Citigroup, Global Transaction Services for three years. Peter is therefore ideally suited to provide both a bank and vendor view to this discussion.


Darryl ProctorDarryl Proctor
Product Director – Payments and Transaction Banking, Temenos

Darryl is responsible for the product planning and execution of Temenos' Payments solutions. In his role he ensures and prioritizes product and customer requirements, defines the product vision and works closely with development, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. Previously Darryl was Product Director for Temenos' Universal and Transaction Banking business. Darryl has 25+ years' experience in the banking and banking software industry.


Bruno BaloiBruno Baloi
Principal Solutions Consultant, Mulesoft

Bruno is a Principal Solutions Consultant, leading MuleSoft's strategic accounts in end-to-end evaluations of the MuleSoft platform in context of their architecture and environment, facilitating business and technical design workshops, and developing solutions that drive clients' digital transformation strategies. He has over 22 years of IT experience (with half of those years in banking and capital markets) in a wide variety of roles spanning development, architecture, product management, and IT leadership. He designed products that won the IDC Most Innovative Product of the year award in 2002.


Marlène MeliMarlène Meli
Consultant – Financial Crime, Temenos

Marlène is responsible for providing expertise in financial crime mitigation. In her role she works closely with development, sales and marketing to ensure Temenos' Financial Crime solutions stay current with latest regulatory changes. With a background in financial crime mitigation and banking operations, Marlène has 30+ years of experience in the financial industry.

Simon is an experienced and proven international business leader with 20+ years of knowledge in both enterprise and strategic global Alliances. Working in highly complex business environments and developing relationships at the highest CXO levels. A thought leader in developing solutions for the most rapidly developing market sectors, telco, cloud and IoT in a complex hybrid go to market models.

Experienced technology and finance professional with management and extensive consulting experience. Substantial breadth and depth technology knowledge with a particular focus on BI and analytics coupled with strong delivery track record. First class communication skills and the ability to interact at all levels.


Joël WintereggJoël Winteregg
CEO & Co-Founder of NetGuardians

As NetGuardians CEO, Joël Winteregg both guides innovation of NetGuardians core solutions and drives business development, with a focus on Europe and Africa. He has headed the company since 2007, when he co-founded it with Raffael Maio. His business intuition is matched by technical talent – it was Joël's own research that led to the prototype for the company's intelligent behavioral analysis software. As well as almost 10 years as an entrepreneurial business leader, Joël has solid experience in R&D and as a software engineer, including as a security specialist with the Institute for Information and Communication Technologies. He holds both a degree in Software Engineering and a CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) certification.

Inpher is a fast growing startup with the conviction that encryption and privacy are foundational to the future of computing. Inpher's technology powers secure applications with the capability to search, collaborate and compute on encrypted data throughout its lifecycle, in the cloud or on-premise. As a though leader, Jordan's research and insight on cybersecurity, AI, robotics and digital manufacturing have been featured in print and broadcast internationally on Bloomberg, CNBC, Forbes, Financial Times, Wired and other business and technology press. Jordan is the former CEO and cofounder of Horizontal Systems, acquired by Autodesk (Nasdaq: ADSK) in 2011. He went on to serve as the director of Autodesk's $100m investment fund, while also teaching and conducting research with a Consulting Professorship in Engineering at Stanford. Jordan completed his undergraduate work at the University of Kansas and received his doctorate from Harvard University. In 2014 he was selected as one of Forbes 'Next-Gen Innovators'.
