Many firms need to improve their ability to analyse risk exposures, particularly to meet the requirements of Basel III and other regulatory requirements. A good starting point is to adopt a more systematic and structured approach to data management. This requires the introduction of enterprise-wide business process management tools. Ideally, all financial institutions will implement a set of robust, flexible tools that offer a combined solution to the twin challenges of risk management and legislative reporting. However, before risk can be managed, it must first be defined. This session will illustrate how financial institutions can more effectively manage risk through deployment of enterprise wide risk management tools and methodologies.
