Temenos announces new addition of non-executive director

GENEVA, Switzerland – 21 October 2005 - TEMENOS Group (SWX:TEMN), a provider of  integrated core banking systems, announced today that Mark E. Austen is to be recommended by the Board for election as a new non-executive member of the Group’s Board of Directors at the next Annual General Meeting of Shareholders in May 2006.

Based in London, Mark Austen brings to this role an extensive background of executive responsibility in international business and banking industry consulting. Most recently, he has served as an executive of IBM’s Business Consulting Services, following a 20-year career with PricewaterhouseCoopers. There, he rose to become managing partner of Global Financial Services, and from 2000 to 2002 was an elected member of PWC’s Global Board. Mark Austen was a member of the transaction group that oversaw the sale of the consulting business to IBM.

Mark Austen, 56, a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, is also a nonexecutive director of Smartstream Technologies and a director of Philharmonia Trust Ltd, which governs the Philharmonia Orchestra.
