The long awaited time for opening presents has finally sounded aboard TEMENOS II

The long awaited time for opening presents has finally sounded aboard TEMENOS II, a moment which Michèle wanted to share with us amidst a mixture of good humour and emotion.

"On this Christmas day, we have finally opened the presents in Santa’s sack!
What a story… what emotion…. I must admit that I found it hard to contain a few little sobs. I almost managed to give out on my co-skipper, I even suspect that this urgent need to go out and trim the boat, was nothing but a simple subterfuge!!

We’re preparing to organise our little Christmas party and get out the Christmas meal and we’ve purposely been holding back on the freeze-dried foods from the last meal so as to make the most of the Christmas one.

We’re thinking of you all in front of your plates of oysters, under your warm duvets, in front of a lovely log fire... I’ll stop there; the list of pleasures for landlubbers is far too long!

We have received a lot of your messages and thank you for them; we are really enjoying sharing this long, fine course with you all...
Our thoughts, our love and our friendship are with you all.

A romantic Christmas meal tête à tête

"A romantic Christmas meal tête à tête… for worse and above all for better!!

Leaning on the chart table seat, all that was lacking were the candles to accompany the "little pot of duck conserve with garlic cream on a bed of broad beans” if you please!
Fortunately my watch is finishing. Satiated I’m going to ‘digest’ this gargantuan meal under my duvet.

Wind 22 knots, the last few hours have been fairly quick, the barometer is dropping and some manœuvres are on the horizon to prepare for the imminent arrival of the front.
