Overview of role:
As part of its growth strategy Temenos is seeking to hire talented individuals to join its consulting practice which offers value added consulting for process improvement and systems / process alignment for its clients’ key strategic change initiatives within transformation projects involving a core banking system replacement. These initiatives include business process change, detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis of existing processes, providing our clients with best practices recommendations and mapping of improved processes along with analysis of expected improvement. The Management consultant will also liaise with Research and Development to validate and express clients and markets requirements in adapting the product development strategy.
Responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Understand and document client requirements using process modeling conventions.
- Following standard Temenos methodology, perform analysis on processes to identify improvements areas, clearly documenting benefit to be achieved.
- Intervene on large implementation projects in collaboration with Program Managers in delivering Banking Business Consultancy Expertise.
- Provide banking business support to the Program Managers to ensure the delivery of a high level of Banking Business Expertise within the different phases of the project.
- Work with Temenos consultants to maximize feature/functions of Temenos products and reduce client customization requests.
- Provide client with improvement proposals including identification of improvement areas that can be implemented immediately.
- Provide client with knowledge and capability to build a continuous improvement within the organization.
- Document ‘To Be’ processes and align these to feature/functions of Temenos products.
- Build reference case examples where the introduction of Temenos products has yielded measurable benefits for clients.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of ‘Reference Processes’ which are used as a template for consulting engagements.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Experience of the following is particularly desirable:
- Implementation of improvement initiatives for business processes in a financial services organization
- Implementation of a core banking system (with direct responsibility for specific project deliverables)
- Six Sigma based initiatives or enterprise-wide initiatives for risk management, regulatory and compliance change
- Significant experience working with a consultancy firm and / or bank delivering business and systems transformation initiatives
- Capable of building strong business justifications for major change
- Experience should ideally combine both business and technology skills and an excellent manager having worked in an environment where delivery is key
- Must have the ability to build and develop key client relationships as well as possessing strong influencing and communication skills.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills are key as well as credibility and confidence in your specialist area
