Overview of role:

The Technical Consultant is responsible for providing technical support and advice at the client site throughout all technical stages of T24 implementation projects. The Technical Consultant focuses on solving basic technical problems but is exposed to more complex problems, and works under supervision from senior consultants/managers.

Responsibilities and accountabilities:

- Master the basic job duties and has acquired general proficiency in the tools, systems, procedures required to accomplish the job.

- Specialise in one or more of the following technical areas:

• Configuration of T24 products, or work on the product interfaces, according to the definitions supplied, data migration and related activities.
• Support in setting up the technical architecture and tools of Temenos Client Services.
• Assist with the definition of additional standard enhancements that need to be developed.
• Undertake any development activities that may occur during the implementation such as additional specific functionality, interfacing to external systems, or conversion programs to be built.
• Install custom enhancements and validate technical setup and conduct necessary testing to ensure user acceptance and global quality of the solution delivered.
• Assist with the setting up of a production environment and on the running of the products including database administration.
• Provide clear and concise technical documentation for internal and external use.
• Provide regular update and feedback to project supervisor on implementation success, potential delays and technical problems that could arise so as to help achieve goals.
• Liaise with the T24 maintenance groups to ensure that the product problems encountered by the client are understood and resolved.

Educational & Proficiency level::

• Professional with a minimum of one year of experience in software technical consultancy, ideally in a banking environment.

Technical knowledge:

• INFOBASIC, JAVA, ORACLE 9 (or above) operating systems, knowledge and familiarity with the functionality of UNIX, AS400 and NT, particularly disc structures.  Exposure to mainframes.

Additional requirements:

• Analytical, organised, team player, and able to work in a multicultural environment.
• Experience in Banking Systems essential, preferably gained through package systems environment.
• Extensive travel entailed and may necessitate extended stays from home office.
• Good command of English and French, English being the company’s business language. Any other language among Italian, Spanish and German is an asset.
