Senior Technical Pre-Sales Consultant

Overview of role:
Senior Technical Pre-Sales Consultants provide, as part of the sales process, specialist pre-sales services to current and prospective clients, distributors, and partners to facilitate and enable sales of Temenos products and services. They provide pre-sales support to sales with system configuration recommendations, and are responsible for providing quick and accurate responses on the technical aspects of a Request for Proposal (RFP) and Request for Information (RFI). Pre-Sales can include system engineering aspects, technical product presentations, technical training and trouble shooting. Senior Pre-Sales Consultants are expected to train, educate and transfer knowledge to more junior Presales Consultants.
Responsibilities and accountabilities
- Focus on more complex technical/business problems, solutions, generally without day-to-day supervision or direction. Provide guidance and advice to less experienced Consultants in case of complex issues during the pre-sales phase. Has strong proficiency in the tools, systems, and procedures required to complete the assigned tasks.
- Drive the pre-sales phase by introducing relevant Temenos product/services offering and provide product demonstrations – functionality, performance, system architecture, system requirements etc., based on the requests made by the sales executives. and recommend system solutions that ensure the optimum usage and utilization of Temenos products and services, based on the requirements from the client or prospect.
- Set up and utilize processes and research methods to provide quick and accurate responses on the technical aspects of RFP’s and RFI’s and ensure that all technical inquiries from clients, distributors and partners during the sales process are replied.
- Liaise with Marketing, Product Strategy and Development on how to best address the current and future needs of the market space.
- Ensure that more junior Pre-Sales Consultants develop their skills and knowledge, both on the product and the pre-sales process itself.
- Participate in customer calls and events as necessary to promote Temenos products and services.
- Stay current with market trends and observe functional and technical changes and advances.
- Perform such other duties, functions and services, consistent with status or vocational ability, as may from time to time be required.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Sales skills: Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services, this includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, and sales techniques.
- Technical skills: Specific knowledge of T24 products (functionality and architecture), as well as knowledge of competitors solutions. Good knowledge of banking applications, computer hardware and software and programming, preferably also some knowledge on business processes (retail banking, asset management, custody etc.).
- Educational & Proficiency level: Professional with generally a minimum 4 years of domain experience, in a banking environment. Participated in at least two different implementations of T24.
- Languages: Fluent in spoken and written English.
